Technology Alliance Wales (TAW) includes members from industry, education and the public sector that have an interest in developing technology education for the future prosperity of Wales.


It provides a forum for industry and education across Wales to meet and discuss how the two can better meet the needs of learners to sustain our engineering and manufacturing industries.

TAW provides considered, co-ordinated and consistent advice and support for the development of the technological component of the curriculum in Wales.


What's New?

Digital Manufacturing Conference

This major conference is targeted at sixth form students and their teachers. Leaders in the field of design engineering will speak. Ben Evans who is a lead design engineer on the 1000 mph Bloodhound Super Sonic Car project will talk about the design challenges facing the team. Jarred Evans who is director of the leading design consultancy PDR, will also talk about the exciting design engineering they undertake.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subject are important to our future economy. Exhibitors and speakers will demonstrate the opportunities that exist for pupils studying STEM subjects.

This event will show pupils that there is a range of opportunities in our engineering and manufacturing industries. It will also be a valuable learning experience with exhibitors and presenters offering interesting, interactive and instructional activities that will develop pupils' understanding of modern engineering processes and materials.
